But the thing that gives us the biggest kick is sports equipment. And it isn’t because we like sports (well, not entirely). Innovation design makes us happy – and if it can be done while saving weight and improving performance, then that makes us very happy indeed. Nowhere is the conjunction more evident than in the sporting sector. We’ve been part of the development of a better-balanced golf putter; lightweight soccer shin-pads and super-tough taillights for boat trailers. There’s nothing superficial about sporting goods design. It’s at the absolute cutting-edge, and Eastman's materials are right there with it.
