In the battle of the sexes perfume has long been recognized as heavy ordinance – albeit a weapon carefully camouflaged as fragile, ephemeral, and captivating. Packaging has to reflect these qualities, which is why the Dream Angels line of fragrance from Victoria’s Secret is contained in bottles formed from Eastman™ copolyesters.

Eastman calls its copolyesters for the cosmetics industry The Glass Polymer for good reason – containers made of the material look and feel like glass. The Glass Polymer enabled the INOAC Packaging Group to give Victoria’s Secret just what it wanted for its Dream Angels lotion – a thick-walled bottle with the clarity of pure spring water.

Compared to glass, The Glass Polymer offers advantages of shatter resistance, cost and flexibility. The material also can be colored easily and for less cost and quantities than glass.
